News & Innovations
The JENSEN-GROUP invites laundry professionals to Booth R11 T20 at EXPOdetergo International 2026, where JENSEN and Inwatec will demonstrate how automation, robotics and intelligent technology are transforming every stage of the laundry process.
Under the theme “Experience the Art of Laundry Automation”, visitors will discover solutions ranging from automated soiled-side sorting and robotic feeding to intelligent flatwork finishing and garment handling. Together, these technologies demonstrate JENSEN’s vision for increasingly connected and automated laundries, including the possibility of taking automation all the way toward the Dark Factory Concept, where processes can operate with minimal human intervention.
Highlights at a glance: What to see at Booth R11 T20
Inwatec automated soiled-side sorting, taking automation toward the Dark Factory
Experience how Inwatec combines more than 15 years of pioneering laundry robotics with robotic separation, RFID and AI-based classification, and foreign-object detection to automate one of the most labor-intensive areas of the laundry.
The modular system combines THOR for robotic single-piece separation, HEIMDAL for RFID and camera-based article identification, ODIN for AI-supported X-ray foreign-object detection, and BIFROST for automatic sorting into the required categories. With more than 200 automated sorting systems installed across 26 countries and over 300 THOR robots in operation worldwide, the technology is proven in industrial laundry operations. Built on more than 10 years of AI experience in laundries, these technologies create the foundation for increasingly autonomous production: reducing dependence on manual labor, improving consistency and safety, and moving laundries toward the Dark Factory Concept.
Proven, not just promised. Developed through years of real-world experience, the solution continues to move laundry robotics forward.
Washroom technology built for performance
Automation is only as strong as the processes behind it. Visitors can also discover JENSEN washroom technology designed for high productivity and efficient resource use. The XR 60 Gas dryer uses technologies including XFlow, AirWave and InfraCare to optimize airflow, drying performance and process times.
NEW Express Pro – double the possibilities
Discover the Express Pro Cornerless Feeder, the only cornerless feeder capable of processing sheets and table linen in two lanes. With double feeding capacity per operator, Express Pro can reach peak production of up to 2’400 pieces per hour in two lanes with only four operators.
A built-in production buffer supports stable production speeds, while corner-correcting devices and a mechanical transfer clamp beam provide reliable feeding quality, including for heavier articles such as table linen.
NEW Classic & Silverline Folders
JENSEN will also present the new generation of Classic and Silverline large-piece folders, redesigned to meet growing demands for fast, high-quality folding while making efficient use of floor space.
The Silverline, paired with the KliQ Plus feeder, provides high-speed one-lane folding with space-saving inline stackers, while the Classic, also incorporating space-saving inline stackers, is paired with the Express Pro feeder for maximum throughput in two-lane operation. Flexible folding configurations support mixed production and different linen requirements, with automatic sorting according to quality and size.
Both folder ranges feature the new iJOS operating system, bringing intuitive operation and real-time visual guidance to the finishing line.
NEW Butterfly Classic featuring iJOS
Butterfly Classic brings new technology to JENSEN’s proven towel-folding concept. Fast air folding, the versatile DeltaFlex cross-fold section and roll-off stackers provide flexibility and productivity across a wide range of towels. The Butterfly Classic can be operated manually or combined with robotic feeding solutions such as BLIZZ, creating an automated towel-finishing process.
It also features the new iJOS – Intuitive JENSEN Operating System, designed to replace complex diagnostics with clear, real-time visual guidance. iJOS supports fast installation and programming, provides instant production status and gives technicians greater control over machine operation and maintenance.
BLIZZ – robotic towel feeding
Take another step toward autonomous production with BLIZZ, the smart solution for robotic feeding of towels for healthcare and hospitality applications.
BLIZZ automatically separates towels and feeds them to the towel folder without human intervention. Automatic detection of corners and side edges enables continuous centering and alignment, creating a reliable automated flow from unsorted towels into finishing.
NEW MetriRead Pro – intelligence inside the Metricon system
For garment laundries, the Metricon system combines automated conveying and sorting for fast, accurate and scalable garment handling. The ergonomic MetriQ Loading Station improves operator efficiency and ensures a smooth garment flow into the system.
A key innovation is the new MetriRead Pro: an all-in-one reading tunnel for garments in motion. Integrated into Metricon, it combines the RFID reader, shielding and system control in one solution, providing real-time identification with high precision while reducing hardware requirements and system complexity.
