MAXI-PRESS expands its activities in Australia and New Zealand through acquisition of Filterfab

On September 29, 2025, MAXI-PRESS, a subsidiary of the JENSEN-GROUP, announced its decision to acquire the business of Filterfab Pty Ltd (Australia) and the shares of Filterfab NZ Limited (New Zealand), both active in the consumables business for heavy-duty laundry operations.

The completion of the transaction is expected within a few weeks. The two companies are beneficially owned by Clifford Andrew and generate an annual revenue of 11.6 million Australian dollars. This acquisition will enable the JENSEN-GROUP to further expand its activities within the after-sales business.

Filterfab is a leading provider of laundry and healthcare products to healthcare, education and laundry services customers in Australia and New Zealand. The Company manufactures and distributes a range of products including consumables, spare parts and services for the laundry and healthcare industry in Australia and New Zealand. Filterfab has operated in Australia for nearly 50 years, and separately in New Zealand since 1994. Together, the two companies employ 33 people.

Strengthening our presence in Australia and New Zealand

Australia and New Zealand have always been key markets for the JENSEN-GROUP and for MAXI-PRESS. Since 2005, the Group has operated an independent Sales & Service Center in Sydney, underlining its long-term commitment to the region. With the integration of the former Cobro Group, a leading Australian supplier of laundry consumables, MAXI-PRESS further strengthened its position in the market and today serves customers in Australia  and New Zealand as MAXI-PRESS Australia, providing high-quality laundry consumables and MAXI-PRESS spare and wear parts for industrial laundries.

Continuity and customer commitment

Filterfab will continue its operations under its existing brand, and with their dedicated teams in Australia and New Zealand. The company will be co-managed by Anthony Kingsley (Filterfab) and Wayne Kearney (MAXI-PRESS), and the New Zealand branch will continue operations under the directorship of Stacey James and Hamish Dalglish. In Australia, the companies will operate under the name MAXI-PRESS Filterfab Australia PTY Ltd, and in due course, MAXI-PRESS Filterfab NZ will be the new company name in New Zealand.

Customers can continue to rely on the same trusted service, now further strengthened by the resources and global expertise of MAXI-PRESS as well as the JENSEN-GROUP. Their strong local presence and customer focus perfectly complement our strategic ambition to be a trusted, long-term partner to laundries across the region.
