Swiss Retailer Migros counts on JENSEN for its garment handling

As of January 2011, the Swiss retailer Migros (East Switzerland Division) will be processing its garments on a Butterfly Fox 900. It is the first Butterfly Fox that JENSEN is installing in Switzerland.

Migros is Switzerland's largest supermarket chain and largest employer. The logo of the company is a large orange M, which some Swiss newspapers call "the orange giant". In the autumn of 2010, Migros' East Switzerland Division was looking to automate the handling of its workwear. They chose the Butterfly Fox from JENSEN that had only recently been launched at the Expo Detergo in Milano. Shortly after Detergo, a project team from Migros visited the JENSEN factory in Burgdorf to inspect a machine that was already loaded with orange garments which JENSEN had retrieved from their laundry.

Benno Estermann, Laundry Manager, was very impressed with the folding quality: "This was the very first time that we could have a look at a machine under real working conditions at a manufacturer's plant. This test run really convinced us!"

More details will be published after its successful installation, when the orange giant is working with the blue garment folder made by JENSEN.
